Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Auction help our school?

The PTA’s auction raises much-needed funds that go towards:

These are all things that otherwise wouldn’t be possible without this funding. This event is the largest fundraiser of the year for our school’s PTA.

How can I help?

The success of the Auction requires the generosity of the Franklin community!

It’s not too late to donate items to be auctioned! Contact Lindsay Kemp-Bruckstein for ideas, or fill out this form

We need volunteers! We need help with the Party setup, check-in, take-down, and other activities. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Lindsay Kemp Bruckstein at lindsayakemp@gmail.com, and look for an upcoming Konstella sign-up sheet!

If you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute, you can make a monetary donation here

When and where is the Auction Party?

The event will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 between 6:00 PM-10:00 PM at Albert H. Dewitt Officers' Club on Alameda Point.

Address: 641 W Red Line Ave, Alameda, CA 94501

What can I expect at the event?

This year's theme is Mixtape Memories: Celebrating the 80s & 90s. Costumes and themed attire are encouraged and add to the fun. Follow the Franklin PTA Facebook page for inspiration!

You can expect a fun and lively night with dinner, an open bar of beer and wine, dancing, games, and more! Most importantly, you’ll get to experience an exciting evening with both live and silent auctions, as well as desserts auctioned off by Franklin bakers! This highly anticipated event is truly a blast and a great opportunity for all of our Franklin parents to have some fun together.

Do I have to dress for the theme?

This year's theme is "Mix-tape Memories", an 80’s & 90s music inspired theme. While themed attire and costumes are welcome, they are certainly not required to have a great time!

Can I preview the auction items online?

Yes, the online auction catalog will be live 2 weeks in advance. You can view items then and even start to bid on some items!

Who can bid on items in the online auction?

Anyone! Feel free to share the link with friends, relatives, and anyone else who wants to help support Franklin Elementary.

Will I be able to pay for items with a credit card?

Yes, credit cards are an acceptable form of payment on the website and at both live and silent auctions at the event on April 29.

Will the event sell out?

It can sell out, as space is limited, so we highly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance. This also helps ensure a smooth check-in process.

Get your tickets early and save. Buy Tickets Now!

**Early Bird Tickets - $75 per person until April 5th.**

Regular Priced Tickets (after April 5th) - $100 per person

Will there be tickets to purchase at the door?

No, tickets are limited and must be bought in advance via https://franklinalameda.schoolauction.net/auction2023/register/ticket_sales

Why are tickets $75-$100?

Ticket sales cover the cost of the venue, the food, the drinks and the entertainment. We work to keep auction ticket prices as low as possible, but as this is a fundraiser event, we need the price of tickets to cover the cost to put on the event.

I would like to attend, but the ticket price is a challenge.

We want everyone to be able to attend this event! If the reduced ticket fee is a financial hardship please contact steve@franklinpta.org for additional options.

Are kids allowed? Is there childcare provided?

Sorry, this is an adults-only event. And unfortunately we cannot offer childcare, so we recommend that you book your sitter early!

Can non-Franklin parents attend?

Yes! Everyone is welcome!
