The Sunday before school begins, the PTA hosts a Back-to-School event to give students, teachers, and parents a chance to reconnect after a long summer apart.
First day of school: Tuesday, August 11th 2026
Starting on the first day of school, the PTA hosts meet-and-greets in Franklin Park after drop-off to meet other Franklin parents throughout the year.
The Walkathon is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and a student favorite. Join us in cheering on the students as they walk around Franklin Park!

Another student favorite is our annual Halloween Spooktacular party! Our Franklin school will transform into a scary & fun haunted campus with games, costume contests, the Haunted Hallway, and of course, the infamous Candy Cannon!
Every December, Franklin students look forward to purchasing handmade gifts for friends and family while raising money for the PTA. Volunteers are needed to make crafts and to work on the day of the event. If you want to help but can’t think of a craft project we can give you some ideas!
The Scholastic Book Fair usually takes place in the Media Center during October. While running, it's open every day after school and during the Halloween Spooktacular. If you want to avoid the crowds or buy a book outside of the Book Fair, you can do so online.
Come celebrate what makes our Franklin community great: its diversity! Heritage Night showcases a variety of performances, presentations, and foods that highlight the different cultures in our own community.
Our Bake Sales have become a school favorite and are held twice a year, in the fall and the spring. It's a great chance to bake something yourself and to purchase some delicious treats for a good cause!
Our biggest fundraiser of the year! This parents-only event is held in April. A fun night of music and dancing, attendees can bid on goods and services provided by Franklin Elementary parents and local businesses.
This is when we show our amazing teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. Volunteer to help decorate a door and much more.
The Franklin Science Festival provides fun, interactive, and hands-on ways for students to experience science.
A fun way for Franklin Families to get together and get active, the Family Bike Ride is always a good time often ending with a frosty treat!
