Some toys and an old coat can make a big difference to someone in our community. Check out the ways you can help, right here at Franklin.
Toys for Tots
The Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth, and their Families, Alameda Red Cross Youth, Alameda Food Bank, and other community organizations are once again working in partnership with the U.S Marine Corps Toys For Tots program, to assure that all low-income Alameda families receive Holiday Toys for their children.
There will be a Toys For Tots collection box in the Franklin office to receive new, unwrapped toys.
The collection box will be picked up by Alameda firefighters and community volunteers the morning of Wednesday, December 16.
One Warm Coat
It’s getting cold out there, and not every family can
afford a warm coat for the winter.
Starting Monday, November 30, there will be a box in the Franklin front hall where you can drop your gently used coats and jackets. It’s a great second life for the coats your kids have grown out of (and a fantastic excuse to get yourself a brand new one). All coats will be delivered to Alameda County Social Services before the December break.
