One of the things that makes Franklin Elementary School such an amazing place is its active parent community. From room parents, to art docents, to lunchtime supervisors there is a role for everyone no matter your expertise or time commitment.
Every year, parents dedicate hundred’s of hours to Franklin school, making it a wonderful community. We encourage all parents to get involved and dedicate at least 10 volunteer hours a year! Use the form below to let us know your interest in specific positions or programs.

Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
This position takes inventory of the emergency supplies on hand and restocks (using PTA-allocated funds) as necessary. The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator may also work with the front office to ensure all students’ emergency contact information is complete and up-to-date.
Timeframe: Beginning of the year
Ability Awareness Chair
Pioneered by former Franklin parent Jill Gorman, this event teaches kids that whatever our challenges, we all have unique abilities, capabilities, and value. This week-long, established program includes special assembly speakers and classroom activities to encourage thought and conversation about what we each have to contribute to the world. There are documents to support you and guidelines about what to do.
Timeframe: This position would coordinate speakers in the fall and oversee the week’s activities during the event, usually in the winter.
