“Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame but greatness, because greatness is determined by service.” —Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Did you miss Monday’s PTA meeting? We’ve got the recap here, everything but the chocolates. (That’s right, there are chocolates and trivia at every meeting. Plus free child care. You’re missing out!)
|Franklin Beautification Project
Beauty isn’t everything, but wouldn’t it be great for Franklin Elementary to look as warm and wonderful as it is? Find out about plans to spruce up the place, and learn how you can help!
Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, celebrating the birthday and legacy of the civil rights giant. One way to honor his legacy is to teach our kids what Dr. King fought for. Reading Rockets has a list of children’s books about Dr. King and the civil rights movement.
As always, there are many ways you can help here at Franklin. We especially need Spanish, Vietnamese, and Cantonese speakers to help translate information for parents. Read more about what you can do.
