Ms. Dilworth taught fourth grade at Roosevelt Elementary in the San Leandro Unified School District for five years before becoming their Computer Lab/Technology Coordinator, teaching computer skills to grades TK through 5.
She’s brought this background to Room 3 here at Franklin. This year, Ms. Dilworth’s second graders are using the Raz-Kids leveled reading program, the SuccessMaker math program, and Spelling City. And in December, the kids will participate in the Hour of Code, a global effort to introduce kids to computer programming. They’ll be working on Code.org, writing a program to lead Angry Birds through a maze.
“I love working with creative children and learning from them,” said Ms. Dilworth, who has two kids of her own: 15 year old Ryan and 12 year old Katie.
“I love Franklin so far,” she said. “The community is wonderful, very supportive.”
We’re happy to have you!
